Welcome

I don’t believe we have to have all the answers. I do believe we can meet life with more clarity, compassion and courage.

Life has a habit of turning us upside down.

Sometimes through loss, illness, relationship changes or retirement. Sometimes through quieter moments when we realise we've somehow lost touch with ourselves.

These are the moments that interest me most.

I'm Jilly Bentley, a coach, artist and writer living in Brittany, France.

For more than thirty years I have worked alongside people navigating change, loss, growth and transformation. As a person-centred counsellor, psychotherapist and now holistic life coach, I have supported individuals, couples and families through some of life's most challenging transitions.

Alongside my professional experience, life has continued to be my greatest teacher. Like many of the people I work with, I know what it feels like to rebuild, to begin again and to discover that even difficult chapters can become places of growth.

I believe that creativity, honesty and self-discovery help us reconnect with who we really are. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life, but to walk beside you while you find your own way forward.

My approach is warm, grounded and practical. I work with the whole person, drawing on conversation, creativity, writing, mindfulness and spirituality where these feel helpful and meaningful. Every client is different, so every journey is different too.

Although I work with people from many walks of life, I feel especially drawn to supporting women navigating the many transitions that arise in midlife. Times when identity shifts, relationships change, confidence wavers, or there is simply a quiet voice asking, "Is this all there is?"

I work online using Zoom, which many people are unsure about at first. In my experience, genuine connection isn't limited by a screen. I've worked with my own coach online for years and have never once felt that distance reduced the trust, honesty or depth of our conversations.

When I'm not working with clients you'll usually find me making art, writing, walking with my dog Dusty, in the garden or continuing the joyful challenge of renovating an old Breton farmhouse.

People often tell me they appreciate my warmth, honesty and sense of humour. I hope what they experience most is feeling truly heard, accepted and able to be themselves.

If you'd like to explore whether we're a good fit, I'd love to meet you for a free introductory conversation.
